Kosher - Ethically Conscious

'we strive to give back to the society,
not what we could, but what we should.'
- Kosher Designs

As a basic idea of giving back and contributing in the development of underprivileged society which has been deprived of the fundamental freedom of making better economic, social and intellectual choices. We, at Kosher collaborated with a reinforcing NGO, Mahashakti Seva Kendra(MSK) located in the outskirts of Bhopal.

MSK has been working for the economic and social empowerment of the underprivileged and BGT(Bhopal Gas Tragedy) affected women since 1992. As a secular organization, it is recognized by the State Government, registered in the Firm & Societies Act.

Consciously Kosher

We believe that every development process is an outcome of collaborative efforts. It is very important for the people(subjected to this collaboration) to realize the opportunities and the respective incentives, both in terms of monetary values and personal-development, that would be the outcome of this skill development program.

Kosher has been very diligently involved in the skill and social upliftment of the concerned women in the following ways:
  • Guiding the women in basic stitching and locking techniques that could be performed using a standard version of Brother stitching machine. (technical knowledge)
  • Guiding the women in various quilting and machine oriented surface techniques, to enable them to bring better design concepts and iterations. (technical knowledge)
  • Introducing them to new bag patterns to enhance their knowledge in terms of product categories, variations and their uses. (design knowledge)
  • Introducing them to different qualities of raw materials and the markets to which the respective materials would cater. (product-market knowledge)
  • Discussing national and international working environments across different manufacturing units. This allows them to analyze their current opportunities, incentives and skill-level. (personal-development)
